The Government of Ghana (GoG) though the Ministry of Food and Agriculture (MoFA) is implementing the Ghana Commercial Agriculture Project (GCAP) with funding from the World Bank and the United States Agency for International Development (USAID). The Project Development Objective (PDO) is to improve agricultural productivity and production of both smallholders and nucleus farms in selected project intervention areas in Ghana. The project orientation focuses on commercial agriculture development through public-private partnership (PPP), with the public sector laying the foundational policy, legal, and institutional framework and providing initial financial support to make commercial agriculture attractive to private sector investment.
As a requirement, the Project prepares safeguards reports such as Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA), Environmental and Social Management Plan (ESMP), Environmental and Social Management Framework (ESMF), Dam Safety Assessment Reports, Resettlement Policy Framework (RPF), Resettlement Action Plan (RAP) or the abbreviated form (ARAP), etc.
These reports among other things will be disclosed here in line with the World Bank Environmental and Social Standard (ESS): 10 – Stakeholder Engagement and Information Disclosure.
