World Bank urges GCAP to document amendments, resolution of disputes.
GCAP Task Team Leader at the World Bank, Hans Jansen, has suggested that whatever amendments that are being made to the sites following misunderstandings with Nasia-Nabogo communities should be documented. So also should the resolution of disputes be documented. Mr Jansen gave the advice during a meeting between GCAP/GIDA, the World Bank and AESA, design consultants for the Nasia-Nabogo Inland Valley on May 10 in Tamale.
He argued that pre-leases that were signed by land owners/chiefs cannot serve as strong legal documents and advised that the right and proper leases be obtained for lands acquired.
