GCAP/GIDA hold kick-off meetings with consultancy firms

From February 1 - 8, 2016 GCAP, in collaboration with GIDA and ICOUR, held separate kick-off meetings with three consultancy firms contracted to develop engineering designs for the rehabilitation and modernisation of four public irrigation schemes, namely the Kpong Irrigation Scheme (KIS), Kpong Left Bank Irrigation Project (KLBIP) in the Accra Plains, and Tono and Vea in the SADA Zone.

GCAP/GIDA/ World Bank deliberate with JICA over WUAs in Accra Plains

On 3rd February 2016, GCAP/GIDA and the World Bank had a meeting with JICA to deliberate over the operation of Water Users Associations (WUAs) by private Scheme Management Entities in the Accra Plains and the SADA Zone.

Fifth ISM Launched

Dr Ahmed Yakubu Alhassan launched the Fifth World Bank Implementation Support (ISM) to GCAP at the project’s Head Office in Accra.
